From Toulouse to Paris, from a top business school to the perilous path of polar expeditions, from giant law firms to ultra-trail races, athletics tracks and conferences around the world, there is only one step.

Originally lawyer specialized in M&A, Stéphanie Gicquel is one of the handful of explorers to have set foot in both the North Pole and the South Pole. She is the first French woman to have run a marathon around the North Pole at -30° and she also crossed Antarctica via the South Pole for 2,045 kilometers in 74 days at -50°C, the longest ski expedition to date by a woman in Antarctica (Guinness World Records).

Member of the French athletics team (ultra-long distance - 24h), she notably won the Grand Raid du Morbihan (177km – PB 20h53). Stéphanie Gicquel is the National French Champion for ultra-long distance race in 2018 and finalist at the World Championships in October 2019 for ultra-long distance (24 hours - 240.6 km - 7th world). As part of her preparation for the World Championships, Stéphanie ran in 2019 the World Marathon Challenge, a competition of 7 marathons in 7 consecutive days around the world, i.e. 295 km in 25h42, and realized on this occasion with the INSEP a study on the adaptability of the human body to endurance tests in extreme conditions.

Author of the books In movement (Ramsay Edigroup, May 2021), We are born all adventurer (Ramsay Edigroup, May 2018) and Across Antarctica Expedition (Vilo Edigroup, Preface Nicolas Vanier and René Caillié, Literary Prize 2016), she regularly make speaches in business and in the media on change, daring, adaptation, surpassing oneself.

L'Oréal Ambassador for the launch of the CeraVe brand in France and member of Choiseul Sport & Business, she also founded an association to educate young people about the beauty of the polar regions and their importance for the global climate, in particular via exhibitions labeled COP21 by the Ministry of Ecology.
